East Coast Petroleum
Holds Welcome Reception
East Coast Petroleum, formerly located in
North Quincy, has moved to larger and newer quarters at 1185 Turnpike Street in
Stoughton. On October 24, at 10:30 a.m., the firm held a grand opening
reception at its new offices.
The company, headed by President Loretta De Grazia,
had outgrown its previous location. In its twenty-second year, East Coast
Petroleum is a supplier of fuel oil for both residential and commercial users,
a provider for installation and repair of both heating and air conditioning
systems, as well as a supplier of a variety of commercial fuel and lubricating
products.
With its twenty-three employees, East Coast
Petroleum has been the recipient of many awards both for the quality of its
services as well as its service to the community. Among those are The Blue Chip
Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a finalist award in the national
Stevie Awards for Women Owned Businesses, one of the top 100 Women Owned
Businesses in Massachusetts for 2003 as well as recognition by the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts as a top vendor of goods and services in its fields. East
Coast Petroleum is a member of the New England Fuel Institute and the
Massachusetts Oil Heat Council.
The company is a member of the Quincy
School-Community Partnership, creating an annual scholarship for a Woman in
Technology entering non-traditional work trades, the annual sponsor of the
United Homes for Children Christmas party for two hundred foster children, a
fuel oil contributor to several homeless shelters as well as a member of
several low cost fuel cooperatives.
East Coast Petroleum services fifty-two communities
from as far north as Tewksbury and Greater Boston to Kingston and Plymouth to
the south and every city and town in between. In this difficult period of high
oil prices, the company is well-known for its large variety of programs from
which consumers can choose how to pay for heating oil as well as methods for
installing heating and air conditioning systems in ways that ease
customers financial burdens. Those programs include fixed-price and cap
price fuel delivery, annual repair contracts, as well as interest-free
installation of heating and air conditioning systems.
