East Coast Petroleum again supports Pan-Mass rider raising funds for cancer research (August 2010)

For the second year East Coast Petroleum has sponsored Denise Davis in her fund raising effort as part of the 31st Pan-Mass Challenge. Denise, a former employee and cancer survivor, rode the almost 200 mile distance from Sturbridge to Provincetown and raised over $4,500 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Great job, Denise!

31st Pan-Mass Challenge poster

Thank you for all your help in allowing me to achieve yet another successful ride. This was my second year riding the Pan Mass Challenge and I must say it was just as amazing as the first year! I rode from Sturbridge to Provincetown, just shy of 200 miles in 2 days. It sounds difficult but in reality the hard part is always raising the money. The PMC donates 100% of its monies to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. As a cancer survivor I witnessed firsthand the strides cancer research has made: just one year prior to my diagnosis the treatment I received was not available to those with my same diagnosis. We can only hope that someday we will eradicate this disease, but for the meantime...we'll keep riding.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,
Denise
