AUGUST 25, 2009

Denise Davis, an employee of East Coast Petroleum of Stoughton, and a breast cancer survivor, recently completed the grueling 198 mile Pan Mass Challenge. She raised $4,300, riding along with people from 36 states and 8 countries.

Celebrating its thirtieth year, the annual August Pan Mass Challenge bike-a-thon to raise money for all forms of cancer, raised $35 million in its last race. It is the most successful fund-raiser of its type in the nation as 100% of all funds raised go to cancer research. Half of the Jimmy Fund‘s revenue at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute comes from the Pan Mass Challenge. At this point, the PMC has raised $275 million for the Jimmy Fund.
